Muesli is basically the lighter version of granola, and sometimes gets a bit of a bad rap for being bland and boring. Grains, nuts, seeds and dried fruit form the basis, and we can promise you the recipes that follow are anything but dull.

We love cooking up batches of granola and mixing mueslis in our kitchens, and there have been some shockers when experiments haven’t always gone to plan. From the hundreds of batches made, we’ve learned from our mistakes and stumbled across new tricks. Incorporating spices and lightly toasting the grains makes for a more exciting and flavourful recipe without the need for added sugars or oils.

We recommend making large batches at home and storing in an airtight or clip top jar. This way you can enjoy muesli bowls with your preferred nuts and fruits throughout the week. These are best enjoyed with milk or yoghurt and seasonal fresh fruit or compotes.
