Button mushrooms sautéed with garlic and herbs

Ingredients

Quantity Ingredient
500g button mushrooms, stalks trimmed
2 tablespoons olive oil
4 garlic cloves, thinly sliced
1 tablespoon red wine vinegar
1 tablespoon butter
1/2 bunch chives, trimmed and cut into 5 cm lengths
sea salt and freshly ground black pepper

Method

  1. Wipe the mushrooms with damp paper towel to remove any dirt.
  2. Heat the oil in a large frying pan over low–medium heat. Add the garlic and cook until softened. Add the mushrooms and cook for 5 minutes, or until golden-brown. Add the vinegar and butter and toss to coat. Add the chives and toss to combine. Season with salt and pepper.
