Ingredients

Quantity Ingredient
1 small red onion
4 slices wholemeal bread
2 tablespoons english or dijon mustard
12-16 slices beef carpaccio
8 slices cheddar
salt
pepper

Method

  1. Slice the onion into thin rings. Spread each slice of bread with ½ tablespoon of mustard, then add the carpaccio and cheddar in layers. Top with a few onion rings and put under the grill for 5–10 minutes. Season with salt and pepper before serving hot.
